Josephine Otabor, winner of the 2022 Big Brother Naija ‘Level Up’ edition, has taken to Instagram Live to voice her frustration over the failure of MultiChoice Nigeria, the organisers of the reality TV show, to fulfill their pledge of over N100 million worth of prizes to her.

Expressing her emotional distress, Phyna demanded prompt payment of her outstanding prizes, including cash and Bitcoin. Tearfully addressing the issue, she clarified that her contractual obligations were solely with MultiChoice, and she had no involvement with Quidax, one of the sponsors.

In her passionate plea, Phyna urged the organisers to honor their commitment or liaise with Quidax to settle the outstanding amounts. Her outcry has ignited a heated debate on social media, highlighting concerns about the transparency and accountability of reality TV shows in Nigeria.

While some supporters have rallied behind Phyna, advocating for her rights, others have questioned her approach, suggesting legal action instead of relying solely on social media platforms.

The unfolding saga underscores the need for clearer guidelines and regulations to safeguard the interests of reality TV show participants and ensure fair treatment and timely fulfillment of promised rewards.
