Festive Cheer with Affordable Fares…

In a move aimed at easing the burden of air travel during the festive season, Aero Contractors, Nigeria’s oldest aviation company, has announced a significant reduction in airfare. The airline has set a minimum ticket price of N80,000 for all domestic routes, offering relief to Nigerians grappling with economic challenges.

Speaking to journalists on Tuesday, Ado Sanusi, Managing Director of Aero Contractors, said the initiative, dubbed “Pocket-Friendly Christmas Prices,” is designed to make air travel more accessible. The discounted fares will run throughout the Christmas period until January 2025, covering all destinations the airline serves.

“We understand the economic hardship Nigerians are facing, coupled with the high cost of air tickets, especially during the holiday season,” Sanusi stated. “In the spirit of Christmas and giving, we decided to introduce prices that allow families and individuals to connect with their loved ones without financial strain.”

Commitment to Service Amid Challenges

Despite the price reduction, Sanusi assured the public that Aero Contractors would remain profitable. The company has carefully assessed the economic climate and operational needs to ensure the price cut aligns with sustainable business practices.

Sanusi also emphasized the reliability of the airline’s operations, noting that its fleet of three aircraft would adequately handle the expected surge in demand. “We aim to remain modestly reliable while making travel affordable for Nigerians,” he added.

A Call to Industry Solidarity

Beyond Aero Contractors’ initiative, Sanusi encouraged other airlines in Nigeria to consider similar gestures of goodwill. “It’s time for us, as an industry, to give back to our customers and support them during these trying times,” he said.

Ticket Prices and Availability

At the time of the announcement, Aero’s economy tickets for Lagos to Abuja flights were priced at N99,643, with business class tickets costing N189,167. The new N80,000 fare offers a substantial reduction, bringing much-needed relief to travelers.

The airline’s proactive approach to understanding customer needs and the economic realities of the country underscores its commitment to customer satisfaction and corporate social responsibility.

Aero Contractors’ Legacy

As Nigeria’s oldest airline, Aero Contractors has consistently demonstrated its dedication to its customers, blending tradition with modern-day responsiveness. This latest initiative reinforces its reputation as a customer-centric brand.

By making travel affordable during the festive season, Aero Contractors is not just enhancing connectivity but also ensuring families can create cherished holiday memories without breaking the bank.
