Nollywood Mourns the Loss of Veteran Actor Mr Ibu at 62

John Okafor, widely known by his stage name Mr Ibu, passed away on Saturday, March 2nd, 2024, at the age of 62. The news has sent shockwaves through the Nigerian film industry, Nollywood, as fans and colleagues mourn the loss of a beloved comedic legend.

According to reports from Vanguard News and The Guardian Nigeria, Mr Ibu died at Evercare Hospital in Lagos after battling cardiac complications for several months. The news comes just a day after the passing of another Nollywood veteran, Quadri Oyebamiji, popularly known as Sisi Quadri.
