Former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair was warmly received by President Bola Tinubu at the State House in Abuja. The meeting, which took place on Tuesday, followed Tinubu’s return from an official trip to Lagos, where he had inaugurated the construction of the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway earlier in March.
While the purpose of Blair’s visit was not immediately disclosed to the public, the meeting between him and Tinubu also involved other top government officials. Among them were Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila; Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar; Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris; and Special Adviser to the President on Policy Coordination, Hadiza Bala Usman.
